WILD AMAZON TAMBOPATA 4DAYS AND 3NIGHT

WELCOME TO TAMBOPATA

Travelers will be picked up at the airport or at the bus station and taken to the lodge. We will drive 25 minutes through the city of Puerto Maldonado. But on the way we will pass through a small community, where you can see many parrots, macaws, parrots after.

We will introduce you to your private rooms, overlooking at Tambopata River.

• Connect with the jungle

After a short break you will have a 1-hour introductory walk in the rainforest, guided by an expert local guide who will take you through our trails to see a variety of trees that can be more than five hundred years old, at the same time you will be able to observe some species of wild animals such as toucans, orioles, parrots, monkeys, snakes, butterflies, etc. You will have the opportunity to experience the magic of our Amazon Rainforest.

• AMAZON LUNCH

SUNSET, ALLIGATORS, CAPYBARAS

3:30pm. We gonna by boat on the Tambopata River to enjoy the colors of the evening during the sunset. A short break in our boat with very comfortable seats with a panoramic view and while we look for sloths, and tropical birds around of the river bank. We carry our flashlights to look for;capybaras, white alligators, herons that are on the banks and a 90% chance of finding capybaras, which is the largest rodent in the world.

SANDOVAL LAKE (TAMBOPATA NATIONAL RESERVE)

The fauna in the heart of Sandoval Lake 

5:00 am We will enjoy a good breakfast, then we will prepare our backpacks and we will go to one of the most beautiful places in the Tambopata Reserve (Sandoval Lake), a body of water with an extension of just over 3 kilometers, known for its great biodiversity that houses this majestic lake. Early in the morning we will take a long boat trip of approximately 1:20 minutes to the entrance of Sandoval Lake, after the park ranger control, we will walk 3 kilometers (2 miles approx.)

to Sandoval Lake (piranha habitat) one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve. After the pleasant walk the guide will get a rowboat where we will have our navigation on the lake to appreciate many different bird and monkey species (Hoatzin cormorant, Jacanas, puma, heron, eagles, howler monkey, squirrel monkey, black capuchin, marmosets and sloths).

Maybe we will meet the family of giant river otters (almost 2 meters long) that are in danger of extinction and the largest recorded alligator of more than 4 meters long

NIGHT WALK

When night falls we will carry the lanterns to start the tour in our forest, looking for animals, insects and birds, we can find nocturnal monkeys, frogs, large tarantulas, rodents, spiders, owls, owls, fireflies, snakes or vipers.

We will also be able to appreciate certain nocturnal plants that have a peculiar characteristic, you will be amazed by this nocturnal experience that is lived in the Amazon jungle.

• AMAZON DINNER

PARROT CLAY LICK AND SUNRISE VIEW

5:00am, we will prepare everything to be able to appreciate a festival (show) of different types of parrots that live in this Amazon region, we will embark and leave by land or river approximately 1 hour from our lodge.

This experience will be unique and unforgettable. We will appreciate the sunrise and we will be able to hear the noise of the insects and the songs of the Amazon birds.

For bird lovers it is a great festival since they can only be seen in the Amazon.

Upon arrival we will be able to observe a large number of parrots gathered like every morning on the clay wall, ready to continue with their diet, these minerals that the parrots eat contain useful substances for their diet and detoxification.

It is recommended to keep a safe distance so as not to scare or make the parrots feel threatened.

ZIP LINE ADVENTURE

After lunch we will have a short break, then we will head to our 30-meter tower to equip ourselves with our safety equipment to start our extreme adventure activities.

Then we will do the Zip Line or zip line, one of the most requested activities due to the high adrenaline that can be experienced when making the round trip, it will be our opportunity to overcome our fears of heights.

PIRANA FISHING AND PARROT WATCHING AND BIRDS AMAZON

Adventure, we arrange pickup from the lodge by car or tuktuk, and after a 30-minute drive, we’ll arrive at the charming Yacumama Lake, ideal for fishing, seeing alligators, parrots, and other bird species.

We’ll also enjoy the best sunrises and sunsets, a forest full of parrots and macaws that live inside the palm tree trunks.

RETURN TO THE CITY AND END OF THE TOUR

Approximately at 10:30 am it will be time to pack our bags and sadly say goodbye to the biodiversity of Peru and then head to the city, where we will leave you at the airport or bus station.
