All itineraries are subject to change due to seasonal weather conditions (and resultant variations in river and tributary water levels) affecting accessibility to locations. Thus navigation routes, times, and excursions may need to be modified at the guide’s discretion.
WELCOME TO TAMBOPATA
Travelers will be picked up at the airport or at the bus station and taken to the lodge. We will drive 25 minutes through the city of Puerto Maldonado. But on the way we will pass through a small community, where you can see many parrots, macaws, parrots after.
We will introduce you to your private rooms, overlooking at Tambopata River.
- Connect with the jungle
After a short break you will have a 1-hour introductory walk in the rainforest, guided by an expert local guide who will take you through our trails to see a variety of trees that can be more than five hundred years old, at the same time you will be able to observe some species of wild animals such as toucans, orioles, parrots, monkeys, snakes, butterflies, etc. You will have the opportunity to experience the magic of our Amazon Rainforest.
- AMAZON LUNCH
SUNSET, ALLIGATORS, CAPYBARAS
3:30pm. We gonna by boat on the Tambopata River to enjoy the colors of the evening during the sunset. A short break in our boat with very comfortable seats with a panoramic view and while we look for sloths, and tropical birds around of the river bank. We carry our flashlights to look for;capybaras, white alligators, herons that are on the banks and a 90% chance of finding capybaras, which is the largest rodent in the world.
SANDOVAL LAKE (TAMBOPATA NATIONAL RESERVE)
The fauna in the heart of Sandoval Lake
5:00 am We will enjoy a good breakfast, then we will prepare our backpacks and we will go to one of the most beautiful places in the Tambopata Reserve (Sandoval Lake), a body of water with an extension of just over 3 kilometers, known for its great biodiversity that houses this majestic lake. Early in the morning we will take a long boat trip of approximately 1:20 minutes to the entrance of Sandoval Lake, after the park ranger control, we will walk 3 kilometers (2 miles approx.)
to Sandoval Lake (piranha habitat) one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve. After the pleasant walk the guide will get a rowboat where we will have our navigation on the lake to appreciate many different bird and monkey species (Hoatzin cormorant, Jacanas, puma, heron, eagles, howler monkey, squirrel monkey, black capuchin, marmosets and sloths).
Maybe we will meet the family of giant river otters (almost 2 meters long) that are in danger of extinction and the largest recorded alligator of more than 4 meters long

NIGHT WALK
When night falls we will carry the lanterns to start the tour in our forest, looking for animals, insects and birds, we can find nocturnal monkeys, frogs, large tarantulas, rodents, spiders, owls, owls, fireflies, snakes or vipers.
We will also be able to appreciate certain nocturnal plants that have a peculiar characteristic, you will be amazed by this nocturnal experience that is lived in the Amazon jungle.

PIRANA FISHING AND PARROT WATCHING AND BIRDS AMAZON
Adventure, we arrange pickup from the lodge by car or tuktuk, and after a 30-minute drive, we’ll arrive at the charming Yacumama Lake, ideal for fishing, seeing alligators, parrots, and other bird species.
We’ll also enjoy the best sunrises and sunsets, a forest full of parrots and macaws that live inside the palm tree trunks.

RETURN TO THE CITY AND END OF THE TOUR
At approximately 10:30 am it will be time to pack our backpack and sadly say goodbye to the biodiversity of Peru and then head to the city, where we will leave you at the airport or bus station.
I M P O R T A N T :
- In the 3 days and 2 nights package; The first day CHECK INN is at 11.00 am and the fourth day or departure day CHECK OUT is at 10:00 am.
- Traveler pick-up can be from the bus station, airport or other place within the city of Puerto Maldonado, as required.
- On the first day, breakfast is not included and on the last day, lunch is not included (with prior coordination these have a price of 10 dollars respectively).
- The excursions begin according to the arrival and departure times of the travelers.
- The foods included in the package can be vegan, vegetarian or regular according to requirement
- We recommend arriving on flights before 2:00 p.m. and departing on flights from 12:00 p.m.
- The itinerary is subject to weather and the availability of boats, guides and passengers, with the maximum groups per guide being 9 travelers.
